Note for new comers

Sundays at Tai Chi Corner :

Intermediate 5:00 - 6:00 pm

Advanced 6:00 - 7:00 pm

Wednesdays at Tai Chi Corner :

Intermediate 7:30 - 8:30 pm

Nuevo 8:30 - 9:30 pm

All classes are $10/person, $7 for full time students. $15 ($10 students) if you take both classes in a given day.

Street shoes are not allowed on the floor. Please bring your dance shoes to change into.

The most frequently asked question about our classes is when to start taking the beginner ones. You can start anytime. Our beginner classes cycle through the basic elements. So no matter where you start you will eventually cover the fundamentals of tango.

Beginner

Covers the basic elements of tango. If you have not had tango before or if you want to stick with the basics and just exercise your social tango skills, this is the class. This class maintains a level of comfort that is typical of the social side of this dance.

Intermediate

In this class we build more complex structures based on the elements you practice in the Basic class. We add news elements like colgadas and volcadas, occasional you will exersice some back sacadas. You can still use some of the material taught in this class in most of your social tango.

Nuevo

In this class we exercise movements that are inspired by the nuevo tango music. Very often in this class we explore figures that require transition from open to close embrace and viceversa. And of course we will hear lots of nuevo tango

Advanced

Only students who are familiar with the intermediate material can take this class, upon teacher approval.
